Venturing out into The Woods, are we? Excellent.
Welcome!

Greg Robinson
Though still in its fledgling state, The Woods is the electronic journal for yours truly, Greg Robinson. As you may or may not know, I am a freelance writer with a primary focus on consumer electronics, home theater and all things cinema. My work has appeared in several national publications including DVD ETC., HDTV ETC., Tech Living, Custom Retailer and E-GEAR magazines. I also write for several online outlets, most notably Big Picture Big Sound and ElectronicHouse.com, the digital home of Electronic House magazine.
In addition to writing, I’m also a full-time software developer for a Boston financial services company. Although the demands of my day time Clark Kent persona keep me busy working on web applications internal to my company, I’ve recently been bitten by the iPhone development bug. As a result, I’m currently working on fleshing out a groundbreaking iPhone application idea. (Don’t get too excited. It’s a contractor app filled with floor demolition tips and tricks.) With any luck you’ll see Backwoods Compatible apps appearing in the iTunes Store before too long.
In case you’re curious about the tag line at the top of the page, home for me is the rural, northeast corner of Connecticut, commonly called (in these parts anyway) “The Quiet Corner.” As anyone who’s been to our place will tell you though, between two small children and a basement home theater, “quiet” is something we’re not.
Thanks for visiting and do check back soon. As anyone who knows me will tell you, I’m rarely at a loss for words. That fact combined with my penchant for tech talk will hopefully make these Woods worthy of your valuable time.
Snowy evening or not, thanks for stopping by.
